Make Travel Easy(er)!!

Here's a check list that I found online and re-worked a little (It was a blog out there in blogosphere somewhere... before I got into blogging, so I don't remember where it came from. If you are reading this and you made it, I really am enjoying this, thank you!) so that I don't have to do all the packing by myself! Baby Blue can't read yet, but she can understand pictures!! I'll just print and add in the space how many she needs of each item. Now I can have her look at the list and start gathering the items... I can just check and make sure it's the right thing and then into the suitcase it goes! No more packing all my stuff and all Baby Blue's by myself... she can help and it's fun for her. Can't wait to use it for our next trip!

I think it'd be a great idea to do this for the grocery store too... just draw pics of apples, bananas, milk, etc (or find clipart online, much easier than drawing for me) and make a list. Then the kids can help get the items they see on the list. Make your routine or mundane to-do's exciting!

  1. Love this idea! She loves to participate, so this will really be gratifying for her.
The grocery idea is a good one too.. you could have a grocery list to add stickers to.. well, that would probably be too much fun! As in, forget the list.. just add stickers!
    Keep it up!!

Rachel loves to cross things off the list at the store, and put things in the cart. And now, at 9 years old, she can pack her own suitcase when we go places and does a great job. God told us to train them, didn't he? And why not, they get so much self esteem from it! But seriously, ya lookin for a 2nd job?
