Exactly 3 years ago today, I was on my 4th day in the hospital, tucked under thin cotton blankets, holding Chris' hand, smiling, shaking, anxious-nervous-excited for what was about to be, and ready. I was finally being induced to deliver this precious baby girl and feel her soft, delicate skin touch mine... 3 weeks early.
Every I.V., every bad bowl of hospital jello, every time a nurse chased me down the hall as I tried to escape the confines of my sterile room and herded me back, everything was so immensely worth it.
My life has changed for the better since she's been a part of it. Home seems sweeter, decisions more important, and the former emotion of my heart seems weak and pale in comparison to the love that possesses me now.

Haha, ok, with Kelly's comment, let me clarify. It only took me 4 hours to deliver her, but I had to be in the hospital for 4 days because of preeclampsia, they wanted to keep me on bed rest for those 4 days. :) All in all it wasn't too bad, but no matter what, it was worth it!
