Just one of the five... count them, one, two, three, four, five photos we took before the camera battery died and we were without a camera for the rest of our trip.
At least this photo is of THE animal that Aliyah wanted to see. She was excited listing off all the other animals at the zoo, but would just about burst when talking about the giraffes. Excited enough to drag her father through the park a second day so that she could see them again. You have to imagine my excitement when I came upon the cutest, softest, squishiest (is that a word?) little stuffed animal of a giraffe to bring back from work with me after hearing of her second trip to see these long-necked mammals.
I gave it to her at just the right moment, just as we began our drive home, with enough time for her to flash a huge smile, utter a small thank you, snuggle it right up to her cheek and proceed to fall asleep for the entire ride.
I just love giraffes.

ReplyDeleteI love how your zoo you can actually see them. Ours feeds them way across their area and they never seem to be near us when we are there.
I have yet to see one lol. I Cnt believe the battery died lol.

That is a beautiful photo! I love giraffes. They are so peaceful. Well, I'm sorry your battery died, but at least you can feel confident in knowing that the other four are probably great shots...or, at the very least, you can make them great shots (but I have a feeling you don't really ever need to do that ;-))

ReplyDeleteNever will I forget when I went to the safari in NJ at Great Adentures and had cream cheese all over my hand from my bagel. The giraffe brought his head down to the window and licked the entire thing. I was hysterically giddy.
How funny, we went to the zoo too. I have a few photos on my blog and lucky for me my camera did not die! This is a great shot - as usual.
