"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything."
~Aaron Siskind
Lately I've found myself trying to remember what it's like to have a baby in the house, especially a newborn. There are times where its hard for me to even remember what my daughter looked like as such a little baby. Time seems to go by so fast, and I'm thankful for the memories, for all the little things that were caught on camera, because I just can't remember them all. It makes me want to photograph more.

Oh. How precious was your baby! I know you are going to adjust to having a sweet little baby in the house and love every minute if it : )
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE that quote. It's so incredible how time flies - that fact has blown me away. I wish that it would slow down a little but I know that I have many pictures to cherish it all.
ReplyDeleteLook at A's eyes. She is a beauty and your sweet little babe is going to be just perfect. Tick tock. It won't be long now.
Lovely comment! yes, we need to remember, hold feelings in a frame and grasp a certain moment and hold it tight to your heart!
ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean about photography. The pictures I take are a huge, important part of how I keep my memories alive. It IS so easy to forget the little details, but it all comes flooding back as I stare at a picture.
ReplyDeleteIt's always amazing to look back at those baby pictures! I wish that I was more diligent about taking pictures :)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful memories and moments can be captured with photography. Adorable photo of your little princess :)
I don't remember a ton about my first daughter's baby stages either. I'm also thankful we took so many pictures! And I actually kept up with her baby book so I remember what she did when :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is why I have been even more insistent on taking pictures with my second daughter. I have a horrible memory and I want to make sure I capture everything I can!
at first glance I did not recognize her. LOL. You are so right, time flies, and I don't know if I necessarily like it. :P

ReplyDeleteSo sweet!
ReplyDeleteTime sure does fly by fast, I see it with my 2 kids. I remember it like yesterday when Matt was 4 just like Emmy is now- I can not believe that he is now 14 driving in 2 years off to college in 4......
ReplyDeleteI agree about capturing so many moments on camera...but then you know what? I get sad, sometimes. I'll look back through my photos of when my now five year old was a baby...and I can't remember what he was like, exactly. It makes me sad. It flies so quickly. :(
ReplyDeleteOMG, she looks the same now just with more hair. Soooo cute!!!!
