Fab Finds:: A Dark Little Giveaway
A weekend with the girls. My great friend Briony and my daughter Aliyah, to be specific. A weekend in Chicago with shopping and movies, eating and hotel pool swimming, and cupcakes, lots of cupcakes. A weekend with girls that entails emotions and moods, stories and adventures, tears and laughs. Lots of laughs. And there's always the quintessential girlfriend activity... Sharing. Things we like and love being, tips and tricks being dispensed and exchanged with excited anticipation. One of my favorite new things to share? My sparkly new dark polish scored with the perfect manicure in a kitchy little nail salon of the beaten path in downtown Chicago this past week. And because us girls had a great time, because sharing is so much fun and because I love all my "girls," I've got a bottle of OPI's "My Private Jet" for me... And one for you! Love that color! Love what little girls do to bring out grown up girls sense of perspective. I just got off the phone with my precious niece Madeleine - it's her birthday tomorrow and they included me in the birthday shopping trip with grandma via speakerphone (gotta love technology). Painting our nails is one of our favorite girly activities. Lately we've been into Kleancolor neon nails for the little girls (3 lovely nieces) and Deborah Lippman's Naked for the big girls.

ReplyDeletevery cool color..love it! my favorite 'beauty' secret came from my grandma....who was always blinging on her digits....she taught me to take an old toothbrush and clean my diamonds with good old toothpaste.... you'll be amazed at how it makes them sparkle! just like your new polish....
